Trails Invitational

Participating Teams:
Friday Night Setup Time: 6/26/08 @ 7:00 p.m.
Some setup will begin earlier outside the immediate pool area. If you
are able to come and help - GREAT!
Morning Session:
- 8 & Under, 13-14, and 15 & over Age Groups
- Flyover starts will be implemented for all individual events, other than backstroke, for all ages other than 8 & Under
- Manpower work begins at 6:00 a.m.
There will be a Trails Manpower Check-In located near the Swimmer
Positive Check-In. Parents can check in while swimmers are checking
in. There are some additional jobs needed for the Invitational and will be
explained with the assignment.
- Swimmers Positive Check-In is between 6:00 a.m. and 7:15 a.m.
All swimmers must check in at the Positive Check-In table
located near the pool entrance.
- Officials meeting at 7:30 a.m.
- Timer's meeting at 7:45 a.m.
- Session starts at 8:15 a.m.

Afternoon Session:

for clean-up. There will be a
Trails Manpower Check-In located near the Swimmer Positive Check-In.

assignment.
- Swimmers Positive Check-In is between 1:30 p.m. and 2:45 p.m.

Concessions:

Lions Club - The Algonquin Lions Club will be providing concessions for the Invitational. Purchasing items for the concession helps the Lions Club with their charitable activities and also supports our team as we share in profits from the concessions sold.

Maui Wowi - Cool smoothie beverages will be provided by Maui Wowi.

Jimmy John's - Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwiches will be selling sub sandwiches.
Vendors:
These vendors will be available during the meet:
- Action Accents will be at the meet offering a variety of swimming attire
and accessories for purchase.
Awards:
- Medals are awarded for 1st through 6th place for all individual events.
- Ribbons are awarded for 7th through 12th place for all individual
events.
- Medals will be awarded for relay teams placing 1st, 2nd, or 3rd.
- Team trophies are presented to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams.
Food Drive:
The Algonquin Trails Swim Team is conducting a food drive to benefit The Algonquin Lake in the Hills Interfaith Food Pantry on June 27th. The Pantry is a local charity organization that serves Algonquin and Lake in the Hills families that are in need. Currently the pantry serves about 225 households which equates to about 700 people per month. Be assured that your generosity and kindness will help many families in their time of need.
